Among its core activities the Budapest Cultural Center continuously monitors and actively
promotes trends and processes in international community culture. In line with its objectives,
the institution either initiates applications for grants as lead or takes part in cooperation
projects as partner in the field of cultural and public education.
The Budapest Cultural Center, the capital’s vocational and methodological public body, is
responsible for launching pilot projects that can create good practices both nationally and
internationally. Some examples are mobility programs for cultural experts, grants aimed at
developing the economic background of cultures, and organizing trainings to promote
integration.
In the past few years, we have managed to make contact with partner institutions that share
similar values. Our focus groups are primarily in the Visegrad countries for our shared history
and economic background serve as a strong base for fruitful cooperation.
